April 11 Arrival in Cusco & Private Cusco City Tour

Meet our representative upon arrival at the airport for a transfer to your luxurious Cusco hotel. In the afternoon, our expert guide will show you to the main attractions in Cusco and introduce you to the history and culture of this fascinating city. Overnight in Cusco.

April 12 Private Sacred Valley Tour & Train to Machu Picchu

Meet your guide to begin an exploration of the Sacred Valley. Your private tour visits the concentric circle terraces of Moray which descend nearly 500 feet into the earth, the multi-hued salt pans of Maras, and the monolithic fortress ruins of Ollantaytambo.

At the end of the tour, catch the train to Aguas Calientes, base town for Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, our representative will guide you to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy dinner and get some rest before the next day’s adventure.

April 13 Private Machu Picchu Tour & Return to Cusco

Wake up early, transfer by shuttle bus to the ruins, and meet your guide for a memorable walk through the “lost city of the Incas.” Let yourself be swept away by the magical landscape that surrounds these important ruins. Capture some final photos and then return to Aguas Calientes to begin your return trip to Cusco. On arrival at the train station, meet your driver for a transfer to your hotel.

Upgrade options:

  • Add an extra day in Machu Picchu.
  • Climb Huayna Picchu for a bird’s eye view of the ruins.
  • Please note that entrance tickets for Huayna Picchu sell out months in advance. Let me know if you'd be interested!
April 14 COVID Test, Cusco Free Day and Departure

Start the day with a quick COVID Antigen test at your hotel. This is to reenter the USA. You'll have the results by the afternoon.

Then, enjoy your last moments in Cusco with a free day to explore on your own. You can visit sites included in your package with the Cusco Tourist Ticket (ask me for more info), check out the bustling San Pedro Market to pick up souvenirs for folks back home, or spend the day people-watching at a restaurant overlooking the Plaza de Armas.

In the mid-afternoon, your transfer will pick you up from your Cusco hotel to the airport for your journey to your next destination.

Located in a colonial-style building in the town of Aguas Calientes, Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel is a naturalist’s haven.
